Cleaning & Surface Care

• Natural Brushing:  Use a boar-hair clothes brush to sweep away dust and food particles. Brush in a downward motion to keep the "nap" (texture) of the wool smooth.

• Spot Treatment:  If you drop food, use a damp cloth and blot—never scrub. For stubborn spots, use a tiny amount of diluted wool detergent, then rinse by blotting with plain water.

• Steam, Don’t Iron:  High heat from a flat iron can "burn" wool fibers, leaving a shiny, permanent mark. Use a garment steamer to remove wrinkles and refresh the fabric safely.

• Minimize Dry Cleaning:  Limit professional dry cleaning to once or twice a year. The harsh chemicals strip the natural lanolin from the wool, making it brittle and shortening its lifespan.
